Four Amport and Monxton gardens are opening again in aid of the National Gardens Scheme, on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May from 2 – 5.30 pm. These are Bridge Cottage, Fleur de Lys, Corner Cottage 15 Sarson in Amport and White Gables in Monxton.

This year the teas will be on Amport Village Green and we are looking for donations of cakes. The preferred choices are fruit scones, flapjacks, brownies, Victoria Sponge and coffee cake, but any contribution would be welcome.

All proceeds from the weekend are given to charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinsons UK and many others.

If you are willing to make a cake, could you please contact Amy Barrett at A.S.A.P?

Also, if anyone is able to help with parking or selling tickets on the Green, could they please contact Jenny Van de Pette at It should be a wonderful weekend.
