Saturday 3rd July

12pm-4pm

IT’S BACK…planning is well underway and with lots of exciting new things lined up the 2021 fete is shaping up to be the best one yet. We have entertainment throughout and all the old favourites including the traditional stalls, classic car show, arena shows, and delicious food will be back but here’s a sneaky peek at the festivities coming on 3rd July.

9 Hole crazy golf course…

The whole family can have a go at putting on the green. Make your way around the 9 holes trying to get the perfect hole in one.

Alpaca petting corner…

Stroke and brush the alpacas or take them for a walk around the green.

Animal Farm…

Not only can you bond with the alpacas, but we have wonderful animals coming as well including donkeys, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. So, for all those animal lovers this is the perfect opportunity to spend hour upon hour on our very own animal farm.

Bungee Run…

Strap in and run down your lane before the bungee takes control! Race against your friends or parents and see who is mighty in victory.

Maverick Circus Show…

1st prize winner of the International Street Theatre Awards. His laughter filled shows have been performed in over 35 countries worldwide. Bald head hoopla; the world’s highest juggle; slow-motion mime; comedy plate spinning…and a generous dollop of audience participation! (A totally self-contained show)

“The guy is brilliant” Jonathan Ross

“Amazing; that’s mesmerising” Jane Asher

“That’s so cool; can I take you home with me” Stacey Solomon

“Jason; you were superb” Joana Lumley

“The Queen enjoyed herself immensely, Thank you so much for your wonderful work” Lady Elizabeth Anson

So don’t miss out on seeing The Maverick Circus Show and come along to the fete for a spectacular day.

IMPORTANT – Change to bric-a-brac…

There will be no black bins and drop off system in the bus shelters so please DO NOT use them this year. Instead, starting from Monday 13th June for 3 days a week there will be a home collection service. We ask please for only clean quality bric-a-brac that you would want to buy yourself. We will refuse any dirty or broken bric-a-brac so please only give away good quality items. More details to follow in next month’s issue regarding the collection service available.

Volunteers…

I am looking for volunteers to help with the collection service for bric-a-brac so if you are able to spare an hour, I would be hugely grateful. Please get in touch with me (phillipslou@yahoo.co.uk) if you are able to help.

Toys & Books…

We will still be using the bus shelters opposite the school & outside the pub for these. Please DO NOT put any Bric-a-Brac in them as it will not be collected. Please only leave toys and books that are in good condition.

Horticultural Show…

Please look out for the horticultural show form in next month’s issue. If you have any suggestions on new categories, you would like included please email me at phillipslou@yahoo.co.uk

Electrician urgently required…

The wonderful Gary Light is stepping down after 12 years. I am on the hunt for an electrician (who has to be certified) to take over from Gary so please get in touch if you fit the bill and are happy to help or know of anyone that might be willing to take over. We have all the wiring needed we just need a professional to install it.
